H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiya serves as Chairman of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, bringing extensive leadership and management experience to the company. He joined Qatari Diar’s Board in 2017 and later became CEO in 2018 before taking the role of Chairman in 2024.
His Excellency has held several important positions across Qatar’s real estate, hospitality, infrastructure, and development sectors. He previously served as Chairman of Barwa Real Estate Company and held leadership roles at Katara Hospitality and United Development Company. In addition, he contributed to major national development initiatives that support Qatar National Vision 2030.
Professional career includes significant experience at Ashghal, Qatar Petroleum, RasGas, and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy. As a result, his diverse background supports his approach to strategic real estate development and investment. H.E. Abdullah holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University.
Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al-Thani is a prominent Qatari executive with extensive experience in real estate development, besides strategic project management. He began his career at Qatari Diar in 2009 and steadily advanced through several leadership positions. Consequently, his strong industry knowledge and management skills supported his appointment as Chief Development and Project Delivery Officer for Asia and Africa in 2023. Later, he became CEO of Qatari Diar in 2025.
He also holds bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and International Business from MSA University and Middlesex University. In addition, he earned an Executive MBA from HEC Paris in Qatar, strengthening his business and leadership expertise.
Sheikh Hamad contributes to several boards alongside his executive role. He has served as Vice Chairman of New Giza since 2018 and joined the Board of QNB Egypt in 2022. Therefore, his diverse experience supports Qatari Diar’s continued growth and strategic development.
